Kellie pickler

Kellie Pickler is among "American Idol's" best graduates, despite not winning the award. She was born Kellie Dawn Pickler, on June 28, 1986 at Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle to Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. At the time of her pregnancy her mother was already sixteen years old. It was a harsh childhood for Pickler as her father battled with addiction to drinking and drug addiction when her mother separated from her at the age of two. Morton returned to take care for several years, however Pickler admitted that it wasn't all that great. "I recall my mom and I were cooking in the kitchen when I remarked, 'I'd rather God could have me taken away and I'd rather be dead than live here together with you.' The woman pulled out a knife and placed it on the counter, then informed me that, "Here, you do it." I was in fourth grade. She said "Of course I would never do anything about the incident. However, it resulted in a variety of emotional wounds." The court ultimately handed Pickler to her parents when she was 12, and Morton didn't show at the hearing. Pickler, who cites her grandparents as one of her main influential figures throughout her whole life was a child of them. The mother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in January 2002. she was subsequently in the care of her grandfather. Pickler was a graduate of North Stanly High School which is located in New London, North Carolina.
